Artist Statement

Trevor is a cross disciplinary visual artist interested in how our five senses effect experiences of our surroundings. Skinscape is an earthwork sculpture that enlarges the back of Trevor’s hand, specifically his ulna, a bone that protrudes from the pinky side of the wrist. The lines etched in the cast concrete trace the microscopic wrinkles that cover the hand. Skinscape is a favorite sculpture of children, and Trevor says that when he designed the sculpture, one of his inspirations was imagined feeling of hundreds of ty feet running over his wrist bone.
