Artist Statement
I merge ideas of site, clean energy, architecture, and natural resources under the rubric of environmentalism to explore identity formations. Through a collaboration of these ideas my work emphasizes contemporary climate change as an issue transforming the bodie’s relationship to language, materiality, geography and belonging. As this transformation shapes new ambiguity and ecosystems, I discover abstract compositions that synthesize the past and future into a visceral experience of the now. My work offers poetic moments where the meaning of self is investigated from the certainty of environmental change.
