Photography/Videography Policy

Our sculpture park grounds and facilities are popular locations for photography.

We want each guest experience to be memorable, therefore photography (which encompasses digital and film, still or motion imagery) may be taken in public areas for personal, non-commercial use only. 

Portraiture and commercial photography/videography requires written permission and fee (base fee is $50, depending on the extent of photo shoot). The purpose of this policy is to enhance the guest experience, offer limited access for portraiture and commercial photographers, and protect the copyright laws and intellectual property rights of our artists and residents. 

Photo Guidelines

• All media and photography professionals must arrange photo shoots by emailing info@franconia.org or calling 651-257-6668. Please allow two weeks for the review and consideration of all permission requests. Same-day requests will not be considered or approved.
• Guests may take photos of public areas during normal business hours for personal use.
• Please be sure to respect the artists and staff of Franconia by asking permission to take their pictures.
• Guests may share or repost images through social media, email or personal web pages; Franconia Sculpture Park must receive location credits on all published photography.  On social media, tagging Franconia Sculpture Park and any featured sculpture/artist is requested, where applicable.
• Photography must not be disruptive to other visitors or block walkways.
• All photography must take place during Franconia’s normal business hours, unless permission is received in advance. Franconia reserves the right to restrict photography at any time.
• Drone photography is not allowed without special permission by Franconia Sculpture Park.
• You may not state or imply any endorsement of or by Franconia Sculpture Park for any purpose—personal or otherwise—without written permission from Franconia Sculpture Park.
