Artist Statement
My work uses humor and absurdity to serve as an access point for unpleasant conversations. This piece specifically uses animals as a stand in for humans, noting that unfortunate accidents happen in both the animal and human realm. Humor is used to ease the viewer into what would otherwise be a grim reality if found in its natural state.
