Franconia Sculpture Park is pleased to present Loves Me, Loves Me Not, a solo exhibition by Minnesota-based artist Maggie Thompson. Opening January 28, 2023 in the Mardag Gallery at Franconia Commons, Loves Me, Loves Me Not is an exploration of the personal and universal experience of loss, grief, and love. Through Thompson’s multidisciplinary practice, she expands various textile traditions’ inherited ways of being and becoming.
Join us at Franconia Sculpture Park on Saturday, April 1st from 4pm to 6pm for a closing event to celebrate Maggie Thompson: Loves Me, Loves Me Not before the show officially closes on April 16, 2023. Light food and drinks will be provided.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Maggie Thompson (Fond du Lac Ojibwe) holds a BFA in Textiles from the Rhode Island School of Design. Selected for the 2023 Renwick Invitational at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Thompson has recently exhibited at the Plains Art Museum and Minnesota Textile Center. Her recent solo exhibitions include Just Friends at Bockley Gallery (2022) and Dakobijige / She Ties Things Together at the Watermark Center in Bemidji, Minnesota (2021). She has been awarded grants from the Jerome Foundation, The Minnesota State Arts Board, and the Native Arts and Cultures Foundation, and her work is collected by the Minneapolis Institute of Art, the Minnesota Museum of American Art, and the Minnesota Historical Society, among other public institutions.
