Artist Statement
Now even though it is buried and tired, the boat has made a refuge for us, those who are landlocked in thought. It’s a humble vessel, quietly inviting you to take a seat.
Everyday to progress we are constantly moving forward and upward.
But in the boat we don’t move forward. We lean back. And if we move at all, do we sink or do we rise?
And if you do choose to enter this temporary dwelling, please leave your encroaching invaders outside. Your troubles have no right to be here.
Now please my friend, sit and sink. Sink into memory and slip into a dream.
This is all so much more than we knew.
