Artist Statement
Much of my work has roots in architecture, geometry, and anatomy (human or other). Guided by these influences it is my aim to imbue a sense of tension in what I create with the intent of communicating a visceral message. In building abstract representations of skeletal forms I am attempting to construct a being that once was with the hope that it will become more relative to the viewer and evocative of their own mortality. Through tension and gesture of form I try to allude to movement that has happened or will happen and to things that are or may never be.
