Join Franconia’s Executive Director & Chief Curator on Saturday, January 11 and Saturday, February 1 at 1:00pm for guided snowshoe tours of the sculpture park, followed by hot chocolate and snacks.
Participants will get a quick snowshoeing how-to and history lesson from Interstate State Park’s interpretive naturalist before heading out on a wintery tour of Franconia, where you’ll traverse our snow-covered prairie and view contemporary sculptures in the landscape. Stay after the tour to enjoy light refreshments indoors.
Registration is $10/person, payable online. We will have 18 pairs of wooden adult snowshoes and six pairs of aluminum children’s snowshoes (ages 6 and up) available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each tour is limited to 20 people so please sign up early.
*NOTE: If there are less than five inches of snow on the ground we will not be able to use the snowshoes and will enjoy a hike by boot instead. Make sure to dress for the weather!
