Artist Statement
I make art for the reason of bringing thought and/or wonderment back into this world by charging objects which become Sculpture.
I start my process not knowing why the piece needs to be made or what it necessarily is going to mean. All I know is that the object needs to be made.
“Perhaps Ten Percent% ” can be read from many ways depending on what the viewer brings into the piece with them. This includes how the viewer wants to view it as well, if you want to look at it from a political or social view go right ahead, or if you just find brevity in the objects themselves that is just as valid.
From my shoes I view it as “The slice, the cut, the cross-section.”
