My work centers on the action of play and my sculptures are rough approximations of playlands I have imagined. They come from a longstanding desire to construct rafts, forts, and hideaways. I believe that there are too few interesting, magical and thought provoking places. The sculptures I create attempt on an individual level , to tip this balance. I try to expose the complex intersections between place, belonging, object and action. I see my sculptures as places to escape responsibility and seriousness. I hope to trigger fond memories and prompt fantastic thoughts. I want drudgery as prisoner and swing to reign. This, for me, is where I wish to be.

Playstation is a rough approximation of fantastical playscapes Bridget has imagined, inspired by rafts, hideaways, and forts. In her opinion, there are too few imaginative, thought-provoking, and interesting places in the world, and her artistic intent is to fill this gap with sculptures that help remedy this shortage. Bridget considers place belonging, abject and action to be closely tied and Playstation highlights those connections by creating nooks, hiding places, hand and footholds where climbers can make the sculpture their own. Though Playstation is thoroughly adored by children, Bridget invites anyone and everyone to abandon seriousness and responsibility, if only for a moment, and play.
