Artist Statement
Sculpture is my medium of choice and I think of it as a continuing exploration of subject matter, design and construction. I especially enjoy transforming common and discarded objects into works of art. Scraps of foam and lumber, ragged pieces of clothing and monumental portions of stone remnants from construction sites, have all served as my reservoir of art materials. The material itself is possessed of its own properties and history, factors that impact on my creation considerations. I wander between abstract and representative subjects, but all of the works evoke the effects of time and human intervention.
